Mayo-Kebbi Ouest is one of the 23 regions of Chad and its capital is Pala. It is composed of part of the former prefecture of Mayo-Kebbi (sub-prefectures of Pala and Léré).

Subdivisions

The region of Mayo-Kebbi Ouest is divided into two departments:

Demography

The region had 564,470 inhabitants in 2009.[1]

The main ethnolinguistic groups are the Moundang, the Fula, the Ngambay and the Moussey.

Economy

Subsistence agriculture, breeding, fishery, cotton.
