Matthew Abood (born 28 June 1986 in Sydney, Australia) is a freestyle swimmer from Australia.[1]

Abood won the 50m national title in the 2009 Australian Swimming Championships beating the then reigning world record holder Eamon Sullivan.[2]

He failed to qualify for the 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships ('Pan Pacs'), however competed in the 100m freestyle to win the Canadian Nationals.

He regained the 50m national title at the 2011 Australian Swimming Championships and qualified to swim in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the world championships.
