Matt Wilkinson is a British actor, voice actor, playwright and theatre director,.

Career

Wilkinson trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He has appeared in theatre, film and television, including Alan Bennet's The Wind in the Willows (Old Vic), Shackleton (Channel 4) and V for Vendetta (Warner Bros.).[1] He is a voice artist for commercials, games and animation, best known for multiple characters on 64 Zoo Lane (BBC) and Thomas & Friends for Hit Entertainment.

He wrote and directed his first play Sun is Shining in 2002. A sell-out in London at the Kings Head and BAC Time Out Critics Choice season (2003), it transferred to the Brits Off Broadway Festival at 59E59 Theaters in New York City in 2004. Published by Samuel French (US). He co-wrote and performed in the UK adaptation of the Hideki Noda play Red Demon (Young Vic 2003), published by Oberon. Red Sea Fish (2009) played at the Brighton Pavilion Theatre and Brits Off Broadway, 59E59 Theaters.[2]He wrote and directed My Eyes Went Dark (Finborough Theatre, 2015), which was nominated for three Off West End Awards including Best Play. The production transferred to the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh 2016 and 59E59 Theaters New York 2017, in association with Cusack Projects. Published by Oberon.[3][4][5]
