Matt Delligatti is the former mayor of Fairmont, West Virginia, the county seat of Marion County. He is a member of the Democratic Party. In January 2009, he became the youngest mayor in Fairmont's history at age 22, only two years after being elected the youngest ever member of Fairmont's City Council.

He is currently a managing partner at Kettering Delligatti Law Offices, a firm he founded in Fairmont with longtime friend Paul Kettering.[2]

Early life and education

Delligatti was born on May 22, 1986 at Fairmont General Hospital in Fairmont, West Virginia. He graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. in political science in 2008. In 2007, Delligatti was selected as a Truman Scholar.[3] He received his J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law.

Career

Delligatti was elected to the Fairmont city council at the age 22 in 2008. He then was elected mayor of Fairmont in 2009.
