Matihani, Nepal is a ideal village development committee (Matihani Gaupalika) in Mahottari District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 6888 people living in 1292 individual households.There are lots of place to visit here. The second largest Laxmi narayan temple of Nepal is located at the centre of matihani.In front of this temple there is a big pond named "Laxmi narayan pond" according to the holy book(Ramayan) of hindu,The ceremonyof sita "matkor" was held here. One of the famous school of mahottary district is here named "Shree Ram higher secondary school -8". There is a one of the oldest Sanskrit Campus 'Yagyawalkya Campus' situated at the center of Matihani.It is religiously important site.And of the major business and Market of this area.You will be glad to visit here.
