Masuma Rahman Nabila is a Bangladeshi television presenter and model. She started her career in 2006 as a TV host.[1]

Early life

Nabila was born on 8 April 1985 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Her father Lutfar Rahman was appointed as an auditing officer in a private firm. She studied at Bangladesh International School & College in Jeddah.[1] Nabila moved to Dhaka after completing her Secondary School Certificate (SSC).[2] She finished her Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, and completed her B.A (Honours) in English from BRAC University. She is currently living in Dhaka with her mother and siblings.[1]

Modeling

Nabila made her modeling debut by doing a short appearance on a TVC in 2006 for sharp blade directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.[1] She has also done some photo shoots for magazine and newspapers.

Television career

Nabila stepped into the media world with a school magazine show on Banglavision called Ebong Class Er Baire in 2006.[3] Soon after she hosted a live quiz show called Janar ache bolar ache on NTV, Vocab on Banglavision and a live music request show Music Together on Banglavision.[4] She has hosted some big events like BPL opening ceremony and the 100-day countdown to the ICC World Twenty20.[5] Apart from TV show hosting, Nabila had participated in TV commercials for Robi, Fair & Lovely, Banglalink and Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut Hair Oil. She is also a brand ambassador for Vatika Naturals Europe.

Nabila has also worked on a fiction drama na med Five Female Friends in her own character which aired on GTV. Other 4 actresses in this drama were Shriya Shorbojoya, Jannatul Ferdous Pia, DJ Sonica & Maria nur. This drama was directed by Mabrur Rashid Bannah, Imraul Rafat, and Goutam Koiri.

Nabila made her silver screen debut by doing a film named Ayanabaji. TVC director Amitabh Reza made his debut as a filmmaker with this film as well. The film produced by Half Stop Down Limited will star Chanchal Chowdhury, Partha Barua, Lutfur Rahman George, Hira Chowdhury, Shawkat Osman and Gousul Alam Shaon, among others.The film has released on 30 September 2016 and made history by running successfully for 5 months in the theatre.
