Mary de Lellis Gough

Sister Mary de Lellis Gough (15 February 1892 – 7 April 1983) was an American mathematician.

Life

She was born in Kilmore, Ireland. Her parents were Ellen Dunne and Walter Gough.[1]

Career

She completed her PhD at Catholic University in 1931.[1]

Her PhD dissertation was entitled On the condition for the existence of triangles in and circumscribed to certain types of the rational quartic curve and having a common side.[2][3]

She later became a professor of mathematics.[1]
