The Martin County School System in a United States school district located in Martin County, Kentucky. The superintendent is Larry James .[2] The district headquarters is in Inez.[3]
Schools
Secondary schools:
- Sheldon Clark High School is located in an unincorporated area near Inez, and is the successor to the old Inez High and Warfield High Schools. It was opened in 1971 and was named after superintendent, coach and teacher Sheldon Clark. In 2014 the facility was closed due to structural issues. Sheldon Clark High School is currently located in the Martin County Middle School building until a new high school is built. The new building is scheduled to open for the 2017-2018 school year.
- Martin County Middle School (Warfield)
Elementary schools:
- Eden Elementary School is a public primary school located in an unincorporated area near Inez.[4] It was founded after Tomahawk Elementary School and Grassy Elementary School were closed in 2002 and is the newest facility within the district. The principal of the school is Jeremy Hall. The school was named Eden after the previous name of Inez.[5]
- Inez Elementary School (unincorporated area)
- Warfield Elementary School (unincorporated area)
- It is in a campus built sometime in the 1980s. It is on Route 292, north of the Warfield city limits. As of 1997 the school had about 340 students, 28 certified employees, and 29 other employees.[6]

Martin County Area Technology Center
The Martin County Area Technology Center was built in 1960 and is located opposite Sheldon Clark High School. It is mainly focused on nursing, maintenance and electrical education.
