Martin Špaňhel (born July 1, 1977 in Gottwaldov, Czechoslovakia) is a former Czech hockey player who last played for the Frederikshavn White Hawks of the AL-bank Ligaen. Credited with the first goal in Columbus Blue Jackets franchise history, scoring in a preseason game in Pittsburgh on September 15, 2000.Also winning the European cup with his team scoring 3 goals [1] Špaňhel currently is the Commissioner of the Columbus Adult Hockey League[2]
