Marnie Simpson is a reality television personality who rose to fame in 2013 after appearing on the MTV reality show, Geordie Shore. She came in fourth place on the eighteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother.[2]
Early life
Simpson was a Miss Newcastle runner up[3] and worked as a waitress[4] before Geordie Shore. Her cousin is co-star Sophie Kasaei.[5]
Career
Simpson first became well known in Geordie Shore, which she joined in 2013. She left the show in 2015 at the end of the eleventh series, but returned in the twelfth series. In 2016, she took part in the eighteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother where she finished in fourth place. In 2017, she returned to Big Brother 18, as a special guest for a shopping task.
Personal life
Simpson began dating Ricky Rament in January 2015, to which she became engaged in June of the same year, however the relationship ended a month later.[6][7] She dated Geordie Shore castmate, Aaron Chalmers, from June to July 2016.[8] Simpson then dated fellow Celebrity Big Brother Season 18 housemate Lewis Bloor from August 2016 until February 2017, when he publicly admitted to infidelity.[9][10]
