Marko Pecarski (Serbian Cyrillic: Марко Пецарски; born February 12, 2000) is a Serbian professional basketball player who currently plays for the FC Bayern Munich II of the German 3rd-tier level ProB.
Early life
Pecarski was born in Spain, where his father Miroslav Pecarski played professional basketball for the Gijón of the Liga ACB.
Playing career
Pecarski played Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournaments for the Zemun (2013–2014)[1] and the Mega Leks (2015–2016). In April 2016, he participated at 2016 Jordan Brand Classic International Game.[2] He made his debut in the Adriatic League, on 2 May 2016, at the age of 16, in a home loss against Crvena zvezda.[3] In January 2017, he moved to Germany to play for reserve team of FC Bayern Munich.[4]
International career
Pecarski was a member of the Serbian U-18 national basketball team that won the gold medal at the 2017 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. Over seven tournament games, he averaged 12.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game.[5] He also represented Serbia men's national under-16 team at the two European Under-16 Championships. Over seven games at the 2016 Championship, he averaged 26.6 points, 15.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game[6] and he was selected to all-tournament team. Before that, over nine games at the 2015 Championship, he averaged 12 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.[7]
