Our Lady of Dublin, the only Black Madonna in Ireland, is to be seen in Whitefriars Street Carmelite Church, Dublin. Our Lady's Island, County Wexford, has been dedicated to the Virgin Mary since the Middle Ages. Our Lady is never reported as having appeared there, but physical healings have been reported there and verified by proper medical authorities. Pilgrims go there constantly in a private capacity, but the official Pilgrimage Season lasts from 15th August until 8th September. Administration of the shrine is designated to a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ferns - the current administrator of the shrine being Revd Fr Jim Cogley PP Our Lady's Island.
