Manny Wilkins is an American football quarterback for the Arizona State University Sun Devils.

Early years

When Wilkins was sixteen years old, he was identified as a talented footballer.[1]

Manny's Father, Manny Wilkins Sr., died when Manny was 10 years old in 2006. Wilkins relocated to Texas with his Mother in 2008, where he played football at Elkins High School. Wilkins relocated back to California to live with his Aunt and Uncle. Wilkins starred at Quarterback while attending San Marin High School in Novato CA.

College career

Wilkins came to Arizona State as one of the most prolific QB prospects in ASU history.[2] After redshirting his first season, and only appearing in three games in his redshirt freshman campaign, Wilkins won the starting quarterback position, beating out highly touted prospect, Brady White.[3][4]

In his first career start for the Sun Devils, Wilkins led ASU to a 44-13 win over the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks.[5] Wilkins threw for 180 yards and rushed for 89 yards on 14 carries, and scored his first career college touchdown.[5] In this game, Manny showed his athleticism by twice hurdling a player on two separate rushes. He would do the same thing the following week during the Sun Devils 68-55 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Sun Devil Stadium.[6]
