Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an upcoming Indian epic biographical film about the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. It is being directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain & Co-Produced by Nishant Pitti of EaseMyTrip. Kangana Ranaut plays the title role of Rani Laxmibai. Principal photography on the film began in May 2017 and the film is scheduled for release on 27 April 2018.[1][2]
Plot
The film is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
