Manan Ahmed Asif is a historian and professor at University of Columbia in New York City.[1][2] He is the founder of the South Asia blog Chapati Mystery.
Life and education
He was born in Pakistan. He is an alumnus of Punjab University, Lahore. He completed his graduation from Miami University of Ohio campus in 1997 and he did Ph.D. from University of Chicago in 2008. Asif's work often combines archaeological, numismatic, epigraphic, and literary evidence and focuses on the history of South Asia.[3]
