Mafizul Islam is a First-class and List A cricketer from Bangladesh. A left-handed batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler, he is sometimes known by his nickname Biplob. He made his first-class debut for Dhaka Metropolis in 2000/01 and played for Barisal Division in 2001/02.

He scored his only first-class fifty, 58, against Chittagong Division and recorded a list A half century, 54, against Chittagong Division. On 6 January 2001 he won the man of the match award in the final of the Green Delta National Cricket League playing for Dhaka Metropolis against Biman Bangladesh Airlines at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.
