Madrasa Sirajul Uloom Urdu: مدرسہ سراج العلوم, Sambhal is an old Madrasa (theological Institute) established in Sambhal city of Uttar Pradesh, India.Sirajul Uloom was founded by Maulana Khaleel Ahmad Israili in 1902 A.D and it is affiliated to Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama lucknow.[1] It is one of the oldest Institutes in Sambhal city.Sirajul Uloom Has a Centre for Distance Education, Aligarh Muslim University[2]
Founders and Great Alumni
Madrasa Sirajul Uloom was stablished by Shamsul ulema Maulana khaleel Ahmad israili.Madrasa Sirajul Uloom produced a number of distinguished and well-known ulama, fuqaha like Maulana Manzur Nu'mani, Maulana Ghazi Muhd Azam,Maulana Burhanuddin Sambali, Freedom fighter Maulana Ismaeel sambhali [3] and General Secretary of UPF delhi Maulana Asad Israili [4]
Faculties
There are six islamic educational faculties at Madrasa Sirajul Uloom.[5] these are as follows:
- Shoba e Dars e Nizami(Dept. of Islamic law studies)
- Shoba e Arbi jadeed(Dept. of Modern Arabic language)
- Shoba e Niswan(Dept. for Girls)
- Shoba e Hifz o Tajweed(Dept. of Qur'an recitation studies)
- Foqaniya (Upper Primary section)
- Tahtaniya(Primary Section)
Recently, AMU-CDEAMU started post graduation courses like ,M.A,M.Com at Madrasa Sirajul Uloom Hilali Sarai Sambhal. Now Sirajul Uloom offers Intermediate, Graduation and P.G courses in different subjects.[6]
Extension of Mosque
Mosque at Madrasa Sirajul Uloom is under extension. A dome and a big hall already contructed. Capacity of people is around 2000 of the Hall.
Social Work
Various Humanitarian works are Managed and Sponsored by Madrasa Sirajul Uloom, Al-Islam Trust is providing monthly packages ,scholarships and ramzan kits(A bag, comprises with all important stuffs) to ensure the fulfillment of basic needs of Widows and Orphans.[7]
MSJU has organised as many as 10 camps in different areas where people were suffering from droughts,floods and riots. Recently, A Relief Camp (for the families of riot victims and for those who suffered) was organised in Muzaffarnagar. Every year MSJU organise a Medical Camp where all doctors all available.
