MTV Fanaah

MTV Fanaah is a thriller television miniseries broadcast by MTV India. It premiered on 21 July 2014. Produced by BBC Worldwide India, MTV Fanaah is about the complexities of a love story featuring supernatural entities such as vampires and werewolves. The second season of the show started airing on 25 October 2014 and ended on 22 January 2015 ^[1]

The show portrays the story of the battle of true love and powers. This story is of Vivaan who lost his love Dhara in season 1 and finds her reincarnation in Avni in season 2.

Season1

Anshuman saves Iravati's life and she becomes a vampire like Anshuman. Some years later a village boy vivaan who dreams of being rich some day goes to the "purani haveli". He sees Preet dressed up like a bride and gets scared, while escaping from their Vivaan saves Dhara from burning and was observed by Preet. Vivaan meets Anshuman who is injured and so he takes Anshuman to his house. Next day Mahi and Faridaji (the two most trusted people by Preet madam) come to vivaan's house and takes him to the ahveli where he's welcomed by Preet and Dhara. Vivaan falls for Dhara. He discovers that Dhara is trapped in the haveli from fourtheen years and is not allowed to go out of the haveli. Preet is very strict with Dhara and wants Dhara to fall for Vivaan. Vivaan takes Dhara out with him and they discover that Mahi is dating a pastry-boy Meet. Preet comes to know this and murders both Meet and Mahi. Dhara also falls for Vivaan. Iravati kills Vivaan's family. Dhara is sent to boarding school in mussoorie and Vivaan is adopted by the Preet. Four years later, Vivaan is told that Dhara went to musoorie and do not want anyone to know this. In spite of various warnings by Anshuman, Vivaan goes and meet Dhara. Dhara is now dating Adhrij. Adhirij's family is werewolf family. Werewolf, witches and vampires hate each other and fight for the moonstone. Moonstone can make them the most powerful in the whole world. The powers of moonstone can only be obtained by sacrificing true love. Vivaan and Dhara meet but Dhara knows that Preet is planning something evil and wants to save Vivaan from all the problems, hence she pretends to hate Vivaan. Preet gets very angry and goes to mussoorie. She forces Dhara to love Vivaan but Dhara refuses. Dhara and Vivaan gets lost in forest and Vivaan gets badly injured, Dhara meet Preet's aunt in forest and their she discovers that Preet is a witch who wants Dhara and Vivaan to marry and then sacrifice their true love to get the powers of the moonstone. Both Dhara and Vivaan are safely back with the gelp of Anshuman. Dhara lies to Preet that she hates Vivaan and wants to marry Adhrij. It is shown that before eighteen years Anshuman tricked Preet and made her fall in love with him. He wanted to sacrifice her and get the powers of moonstone, in the meantime he also falls for Preet, but on the day of marriage he has to leave the haveli as if anyone will know that they are in love and are married then they will sacrifice Preet for moonstone powers. Thus with this betrayal of Anshuman she becomes evil. Preet dress up as bride every night from that day and waits for Anshuman. Anshuman returns to Preet by using Preet's aunt's power because in the past eighteen years Preet has became the most powerful witch in the world and now Anshuman becomes weaker and weaker as he comes close to Preet. Anshuman confesses his love for Preet and tells her the truth of his betrayal. They marry each other but Anshuman is still too weak to come close to Preet. Faridaji who turns out to be a werewolf, traps Preet in her own magical mirror, attacks Vivaan and Anshuman, and kidnaps Dhara. Dhara and Adhrij are married and Adhrij is sacrificed but they don't get the powers as Dhara loves Vivaan. They decide to sacrifice him but Preet saves them and kills all the werewolvess as she is the strongest among all the witches, wolves and vampires. Anshuman is badly Injured and in order to save him preet has to sacrifice true love. Thus she decides to sacrifice Vivaan. Dhara pleads preet but Preet refuses. Dhara left with no choice but to sacrifices herself in order to protect Vivaan. Dhara dies. Anshuman can't be saved and hence he transfers his powers to Vivaan and he dies. Preet sacrifices herself. Vivaan has lost his love and family and has became the most powerful vampire among all. Iravati lures Vivaan to join hands and rule over the world, in anger he kills evil Iravati. Season 1 ends with Vivaan crying over the ashes of everyone realising that he is all alone now on the other hand a werewolf was running with a baby in the basket holding the moonstone. In season 2 Dhara is reincarnated as Avni.

Season 2

The season starts on the day of diwali and Avni Patel (Dhara's reincarnation) is decorating her house. Six medical college students set sail on a fresh journey in the real world. Prateek, Dhara's childhood friend, her neighbour and her batchmate invites her to the party in the nightclub. Their Dhara meets the rest of her batch mates Rose and Ranbir, Sarthak joins them later and Seher was not allowed by her family. However, their plans for a fun night out on the town before college starts are marred by a drunken brawl that erupts in the nightclub after a guy slips Avni a roofie. The fight occurs and the guys are badly injured. The inebriated group is then taken to the MedLife hospital where Vivaan now works as a medical researcher and where they are going to study and practice. In a bid to hide their identity, the group registers using fake names, with Avni choosing to opt for Dhara. Vivaan didn’t come face-to-face with Avni. However, he is left troubled after sensing Avni’s presence. The hospital’s admin, Meghna Naidu, was left less than impressed given Vivaan’s cavalier attitude towards his obligations to the hospital and she ends up bestowing the responsibility of mentoring the new students on him. Avni escapes from the hospital but its morning now and sees her parents in the hospital compound with her books and laptop as a gift. Avni forgot her file in hospital through which all the other students are recognised. Ranbir wants to do engineering and tries to leave hospital but in the lift he meets Seher and immediately starts liking her. He comes back in the class where Dr. Nizam informs them about their teacher Dr. Vivaan who is very strict. Vivaan comes to the class and gives them lecture about their behaviour while Avni is still searching her class. Vivaan sees Sarthak and immediately remembers Anshuman, in answer to his question he calls him Anshuman by mistake. Avni visits a naughty little girl (Muskan) in the corridor who tells her more about Dr. Vivaan. Vivaan punished the students to clean the sample room and toilet by which Seher is totally angry with, as she didn't do anything. Vivaan goes and check the student's file for Sarthak's profile and sees Avni’s profile but only takes Sarthak's photo. The boys get into fight and just at time Vivaan enters their. He insults the students and warn them to clean the washroom soon. Avni is still with Muskan hearing Vivaan’s stories. Vivaan comes to Muskan and Avni hides, Vivaan listens about Avni from Muskan and warns hervto take her medicines on time. Avni comes out just as Vivaan leaves, and argues to Muskan about revealing their meeting. Vivaan complaints about Avni to the doctor which is overheard by Avni. She decides to confront Vivaan but Ranbir grabs her and Prateek tells her to leave and they will talk to Dr. Vivaan tomorrow which she was not agreed to, doctor overhears their conversation and tells Avni to not to come back to this hospital. Next day Prateek talks to Meghna and gets back Avni to the hospital. Finally next day Avni and Vivaan see each other and Vivaan is shocked to see her face. He complaints to Meghna about her but she gives her a second chance. Avni goes to Vivaan’s office to apologise but instead crashes on his table. She asks for a second chance but Vivaan can only see Dhara's memories in her face. Vivaan agrees and goes to see all the other students who are still not serious about anything. Vivaan warns them and gives them one last chance to control the nursery. At night Vivaan goes to Dhara's room and gets through her stuff to know about her identity. Vivaan is strangely attracted to her and think that whether it could be a rebirth. He tries to convince himself thats only the face is same and nothing else is special about her and leaves. Next day the group completes their tasks with many difficulties and goes to the class where Meghna introduces them to new student Yamini. Sarthak is attracted towards her but they both end up fighting. Next day Avni and Prateek both are late and Vivaan is again furious. Dr. Irani tells them to choose a group leader for their project. All are leaving the class but Vivaan stopped Dhara and told her to go to the morgue and bring files to him. Dhara is very scared in the morgue and sees a little boy walking towards her. She asks him about his parents and he says that they are dead. The boy closes all the cupboards with his powers which scares Avni. Avni took him to children's ward to Muskan. The boy tells Muskan to forgive Avni as her punishment has just started. She is confused. The boy tells nurse that he wants bed next to muskan but the nurse refuses as it was not empty. The boy stares muskan's bed and it breaks. The nurse shift muskan next to the boy. Avni and Vivaan meet in corridor and Vivaan scolds her for not to completing her work, Avni was informing Vivaan about the boy but Vivaan stopped her and sent her to morgue again. Avni is scared of these things but managed to work, Vivaan is with Muskan who informs him about her new friend and Vivaan remembers Avni’s talks. He senses some trouble and asks nurse to take care of muskan. He goes to Avni just about she was fainting, he took her to stretcher and called her Dhara. Vivaan treats Avni and her parents come to visit her. They leave as they found Avni alright. Vivaan hold Avni’s hand and remembers their meetings while Avni is dreaming about them being together. She comes to her senses. Everyone comes to see her and are happy that she is fine. Vivaan sense something wrong and decides to discharge the boy but Meghna stops him from doing that. Vivaan sees that muskan is missing and trie to find her, he sees Avni’s photo covered with blood and goes to help her. Avni is in the morgue, all the files are rotating jn the air around her and she faints again. Vivaan comes to save her but the boy tries to kill them both. Vivaan explains him that having a bad childhood is not a reason to become evil. The boy understand this and leaves. Vivaan saved Avni again. On next day group is given the responsibility of doing night shift in graveyard. Avni brought flowers for Vivaan but he throws them and says he don't understand this flowers and cards. She goes to the graveyard and joins the group while Rose and Prateek are trying sneak out, Dr. Nizam allows them but warns about the third floor ghost Bloody Mary. They go to the third floor and runs when Bloody Mary comes. Vivaan came to the third floor to talk to Mary and she backed off. Dr. Ramesh is back at hospital. On the other hand Avni is appointed as Vivaan’s secretary which irritates him more. It is shown that Dr. Ramesh is here with his evil motives to infect people with a virus which will turn them to zombie. Vivaan goes to find an antidote to this virus and Avni wants to help him but in order to keep students safe, all are locked in Meghna's office. She escapes from their and goes to lab and starts working on the antidote, she spills a chemical by mistake and Vivaan caught her. He scolded her and dropped her back to Meghna's office while Dr. Ramesh is still affecting people with his virus. Vivaan comes back to lab and start working again on his antidote. He throws the previous one and starts spraying his antidote on zombies but it failed. Instead, Avni’s antidote was working and so Vivaan called her and asked her to remember the formula of that antidote, after some seconds she remembers that formula and Vivaan prepares that. He sprays it to all and everyone starts to recover. Everything turns normal and Vivaan appreciates Avni in front of all. Rose threw a party for her birthday at her house and it was a costume party. Avni goes to Vivaan’s office to invite him but he refuses her, Avni asked him if he changes his mind than she is leaving a vampire costume here, Vivaan remembers how he was turned a vampire. Ranbir sell his bike to pay Seher's fees unknown to her and on thd other hand Sarthak is having a deal with Prateek's father and Meghna. Preparation are done for Rose's birthday party and Prateek brought drugged cookies. Everyone eats that cookies. Avni is waiting for Vivaan but everyone tells her not to because he won't be coming. But just in time Vivaan entered the party this time he was suspicious because of the Joker in the party. Avni thanks Vivaan for coming to the party in her chosen costume. When she tried him to dance with her he showed her his fangs which made her laugh. She didn't took it seriously and was happy that he came. Next day Vivaan accepts Avni as his assistant and gives him some rules. Avni sends lots of mms to Vivaan as she was not allowed to talk which angers him more and ask her to get lost. Rose advice her to say nothing in front of him which she does, but her presence was disturbing Vivaan and hence he scolded her for no reason which upsets her more and she leaves the office. Vivaan feels very bad her her. Here Prateek's father ordered Sarthak to inject the syringe which he does and feels immense pain but breaks the table by a single stab. Vivaan sees the change in Sarthak's behaviour and decides to save him and goes to Mr Malik and makes a deal for sparing Sarthak. Mr. Malik (Prateek's father) refused Sarthak to give anymore injection which angers him more, he doubts on Vivaan for this and befriends Yamini to get all the details about Vivaan. Avni is in Vivaan’s office to collect her stuff and sees Dhara's photo their. She think its hers and kept that in her bag as Vivaan enters. She leaves. Later she shares it Rose and says she doesn't have these clothes and had never shot this photo still she feels that she had wore them. Sarthak tries to gain information about Vivaan from Yamini which she comes to know. She informed Vivaan about this and he told her to keep an eye on him. Avni confronts Vivaan about the photo but he denies to speak. She goes to Saleem bhai to know more about the photo. She comes to know that the photo was about 25 years old and takes the address from where the photo was taken. She goes to the "purani haveli" and feels connected to everything. Sarthak breaks through Mr Malik's office and inject another syringe and goes to kill Vivaan. Vivaan goes behind Avni and Sarthak behind him. He makes trap for Vivaan and tries to attack him directly but Vivaan stopped him just by one hit. He sees Avni falling in Sarthak's trap and saves her, they both end up kissing. Vivaan is tensed about Sarthak. Next day he gives an important file to Yamini but she gets trapped by Sarthak who stole the file. He read the file and now he knows that he needs 5 more doses. Yamini searches the file but couldn't find it. Joe enters in the frame. Joe seemed to be attracted towards Avni. But its shown that Joe is sent by Vivaan to distract Avni and to keep her happy. Yamini confront Vivaan about the file and Vivaan gives her the antidote to inject in Sarthak. Avni write a letter to Vivaan about how she feels and throw it into his office. Vivaan confronts her and ask her to read the letter by herself and then humiliates her to the extent so that she leaves. Yamini was about to inject antidote but she became emotional and took sometime to handle herself in the meantime Sarthak sees her phone ringing and comes to know about her plan. He replaces the antidote to the serum dose and she injects it instead. Avni is furious about Vivaan’s behaviour. Sarthak is double crossing Vivaan and Yamini and is having the doses. Vivaan is making Avni to hate him more and more. Vivaan tells Joe that he is going to hibernation and till he is back, Avni should be impressed with him. Sarthak kidnaps prateek to get doses from Mr Malik and is successful in his plan. It is revealed that Meghna was helping Sarthak from the beginning. Meanwhile Joe is trying to impress Avni, Avni finds the truth of Vivaan by opening his coffin. It is shown that Avni is a pure blood which is born once in a century and the vampire who drinks her blood becomes the most powerful vampire. Avni is in shock to know about Vivaan’s truth and shivers in fever. Her parents call doctor at home and she suggest her to meet a psychiatrist. Avni calls a psychiatrist at her home who hypnotise her and take her to her past life. Avni remembers everything about her past life and immediately wants to confront Vivaan. Yamini meets Sarthak and tells him that she is in love with him and wants to be with him always, they're about to kiss each other but Sarthak gets Meghna's message about the last dose. Vivaan gives the dose to Joe (Meghna disguised as Joe) telling him to keep it safe, instead she gives that dose to Sarthak. Vivaan confronts Sarthak and both gets into the fight but Vivaan is still the more powerful vampire than Sarthak. Sarthak and Meghna comes to know the power of pure blood and finds that Avni is the pure blood from whom Vivaan wants to stay away from. Avni is in hospital searching for Vivaan and Meghna and Sarthak are behind her to catch her. Avni confronts Vivaan and says that their love will be complete this time, she won't backout this time and will find a way to be with him anyhow. They're about to kiss as Rose comes their and takes Avni with her. Avni says she'll be back. Rose leaves with samir and Avni goes to meet Vivaan where Meghna grabs her and takes her to Sarthak. They begin the process and Sarthak was about to drink Avni’s blood but Vivaan stops him. Rabir and Avni ask Vivaan to drink Avni’s blood to defeat Sarthak. Vivaan reluctantly agrees and drinks Avni’s blood. Vivaan kills Sarthak and Meghna and comes to Avni. He says that he is turning to normal human now. Her blood was his cure. End scene shows Vivaan and Avni kissing each other, Rose is happy with Samir (Seher's brother) and Ranbir and Seher are together with Seher's family's blessings and permission.
