Institution

The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields, including computer studies, engineering, arts, business, accountancy, tourism, hospitality management and medicine.

Following its tagline, "Taking the Lead", the university is continuously seeking for improvements by obtaining world-class recognition and standards.[1] Due to the continuous effort of the university, it is now certified and granted with Gold Recognition by the Investors in People (IiP), an international tool designed to advance the organization’s performance through its employees.[2] LPU Laguna is the second university in the Philippines to be a Gold IiP awardee, next to its affiliate school, LPU Batangas, and the third organization in the Philippines to do so. And only three years after its foundation, the university was ISO 9001:2008 certified.

Lyceum of the Philippines University System becomes the first university in the Philippines, awarded with full international accreditation for both the Hotel & Restaurant Management and Tourism programs by The International Centre for Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education or THE-ICE. THE-ICE is an international accreditation body specifically for tourism, hospitality, events and culinary arts, and education.[3]

Lyceum of the Philippines University - Laguna is also the fourth university in the Philippines to be a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business or AACSB, making the university one of the leading business schools in the region.[4]

Lyceum of the Philippines University is also a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning.[5]

Three of the university's programs — AB Communication, BS Business Administration, and BS Industrial Engineering were granted Level 3 accreditation by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU).[6] The BS Electronics and Communications Engineering program was also granted a Candidate status. The other programs of the university such as the BS International Hospitality Management, BS Accountancy, BS Computer Science, BS Electrical Engineering and BS Computer Engineering, BS Information Technology, and BS Nursing were granted with Level 1 accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). The BS International Travel and Tourism Management program was also granted a Candidate status.[7]

In September 2015, the Philippine Quality Award with Former President Benigno S. Aquino III formally awarded the Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management award to LPU-Laguna during the 17th Philippine Quality Award conferment ceremonies held in Malacañang Palace. LPU Laguna is the third LPU campus to receive a recognition from the Philippine Quality Award, preceded by the Batangas Campus and the Main Campus, and the university also became the first school in the Province of Laguna and City of Calamba to receive the unprecedented recognition.[8]

In 2016, Quacquarelli Symonds rated Lyceum of the Philippines University with "Three Stars" overall, making it the Philippines' First Private Non-Sectarian QS Stars Rated University. QS Stars ratings system evaluates universities across a wide range of important performance indicators as set against pre-established international standards, and recognizes both the excellence and the diversity.[9]

Palaestra Consortio

Palaestra Consortio, which is Latin term for “Training Partner”, is the industry linkage arm of Lyceum. It provides for student on-the-job training and intership programs, job placement programs, and meetings and consultations with industry leaders.

The major industry partners of Lyceum are Yazaki-Torres Manufacturing Inc, a manufacturer of wiring and other automotive parts, and St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, which led to the formation of LPU-St. Cabrini College of Allied Medicine, a joint effort between LPU-Laguna and St. Cabrini.[10]
