Lula (Sardinian: Lùvula) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 220 kilometres (140 mi) north of the regional capital Cagliari and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of the provincial capital Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,626 and an area of 147.9 square kilometres (57.1 sq mi).[1]
The citizens of Lula are called Lulesi, Lula is located on the bottom of Mount Albo, an amazing chain of white limestone, full of natural caves and stalactites.
In the Mount Albo live rare species of wild cat and a couple of Real eagle, very important are its old age forests.
Lula has been a mine important centre, Guzzura's mine has been started by the Romans, and Sos enattos mines used to occupy thousand of workers until last century.
The Lula’s mine centre is part of Sardinian Geo Mining, it is park recognize from UNESCO and declared a Human Heritage site"
