Luigi Poletti (mathematician)

Luigi Poletti (31 December 1864 10 March 1967) was an Italian mathematician and poet. He was born in Pontremoli, where he also died, age 103.

Poletti's mathematical studies have been related to the expansion of the table of prime numbers, using a variant of the Sieve of Eratosthenes, which Poletti named Neocribrum.[1]
