Luciano José Pereira da Silva (born 16 March 1980 in Rio Branco) is a former Brazilian football (soccer) goalkeeper. He has previously played for Tombense and K.F.C. Germinal Beerschot. Having signed for Eredivisie club FC Groningen, the technical manager of the club, Henk Veldmate, described Luciano as "a spectacular keeper who, because of that, has a lot of risk in his game play."[1]
On 24 February 2010, Luciano extended his contract with FC Groningen until 2012.[2] On 14 February 2014, Luciano and Groningen agreed to dissolve his contract so he could return to Brazil for a knee surgery.[3]
