Biography
Lucas de Lima was Son of Fernão de Lima, (Sr.) and Catarina de Sá e Lima, (Dona.) from Chorão Island and Brother of Jeronimo de Lima; Sabina de Lima da Cunha, (Dona.) and Aleixo de Lima
Fr Lucas de Lima was a Diocesan Priest who worked as the Vicar in the Church of St Bartholomew's Church (Chorão Island) Goa. Fr Lucas de Lima was a Licentiate, Theologian, Jurist, Canonist, Qualificator of the Holy office, Visitor of the Fabricas of Churches, Promotor of Justice and Procurator of the 'Mitras', Sindaco of the Senate of Goa . He was a native of St Bartholomew's Church (Chorão Island) Goa. He served as the Vicar of St Bartholomew's Church (Chorão Island) twice. He also was the Vicar in the Church of Sao Pedro, Panelim, Goa. He passed away on 7 July 1717 at St Bartholomew's Church (Chorão Island)[2]
Family
Fr Lucas de Lima family was of Noble Lineage and has perpetual graves in both the churches of Our Lady of Grace Church (Chorão Island) and St Bartholomew's Church (Chorão Island).
