Loyola School, Baripada, is the only English medium, ICSE public school in Sankhabhanga, established by the Society of Jesus in 2002. It includes a hostel for boys and girls.[2] The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education exam is administered after the 10th grade.[3]
The majority of the people around Sankhabhanga are illiterate.[2] While none of the children are Catholic, twenty of the teaching staff are including three Jesuits.[4] The Jesuits' aim is to include a community college and vocational school at the 26 acre campus on the outskirts of Baripada.[5]
