Ranipet is an industrial town hosting companies like BHEL, EID Parry, Greaves, SAME (Tractors), and Malladi.[4]

The institution opened on 31 July 2003 with the name Loyola Technical Training Centre (LTC), offering two courses: electrician and two-wheeler mechanism.
