"Love Sick" is a song by Bob Dylan, recorded in January 1997 and released on his 30th studio album Time Out of Mind in September of that year. It was released as the second single from the album in June 1998, in various CD formats some of which featured a February 25, 1998 live version of the song, from Dylan's performance at the 1998 Grammy Awards.
Notable performances
During Dylan's performance of the song at the 1998 Grammy Awards, Michael Portnoy, hired as a background dancer, jumped in between the band and shirtlessly danced with the words "Soy Bomb" painted on his chest.[1] (A video of this performance, with Portnoy edited out, appears on the bonus DVD included in the Limited Edition version of Dylan's 2006 album Modern Times.)
The song has been covered by many artists, including The White Stripes[2] and Mariachi El Bronx.[3]
“Love Sick” was used in a television advertising campaign for Victoria’s Secret featuring Dylan himself and Adriana Lima.
