Loral O'Hara is a NASA astronaut candidate of the class of 2017.[1] At the time of her selection, she was a research engineer for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
Education
Loral O'Hara graduated from Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas in 2001.[2] She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, in 2005. and a Master of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana in 2009. As a student, she participated in NASA’s KC-135 Reduced Gravity Student Flight Opportunities Program, the NASA Academy at the agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and the internship program at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.[3]
