Lobobasis is a genus of moths in the family Erebidae. It contains the single species Lobobasis niveimaculata, which is found from India (Sikkim), Bhutan and Sundaland to Queensland, the Solomon Islands and New Guinea.[1] The habitat consists of lower montane forests, upper montane forests and various types of lowland forests.
Adults are sexually dimorphic. The forewings are mostly purplish red with a yellow apical area.[2]
