Loano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Savona in the Italian region Liguria, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Genoa and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Savona. As of 31 December 2015, it had a population of 11 407 and an area of 13.5 square kilometres (5.2 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Loano contains the frazione (subdivision) Verzi.
Loano borders the following municipalities: Bardineto, Boissano, Borghetto Santo Spirito, and Pietra Ligure.
