Ljubljana Gap

Ljubljana Gap (Slovene: Ljubljanska vrata) is a geographical term referring to the transition area between the Alps and Dinaric Alps passing in SW - NE direction between Trieste and Ljubljana. This "gap" is one of the strategically vital passes in Europe. It is named after the city of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.[1]
