Liz George
Elizabeth George (born 1967), is an English journalist and television news correspondent and programme anchor.
The daughter of the former Governor of the Bank of England, Edward George, Baron George, she started out at the Surrey Advertiser.
She then moved to television, working as a producer and then reporter for the BBC on the programme Business Breakfast, and then Reuters.
She joined CNN in 2001, where she presented news and the sailing programme Mainsail alongside Richard Quest. In 2005 she left CNN to work in Russia, setting up the 24-hour news channel Russia Today (now RT).
George has returned to the UK, and is freelancing.
