The Spice Girls are a British pop group that released 3 studio albums, 1 greatest hits compilation and 13 singles globally between July 1996 and February 2008. The group, with members Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Victoria Beckham, sold more than 85 million records and topped every major albums chart around the world including Britain, United States, Australia, Japan, Canada, France and Germany. After a hiatus of nearly seven years, all five founding members of the group reunited in 2007 for a greatest hits album and a world tour.

Created by Dick Clark in 1973, the American Music Awards (AMAs) is one of several major annual American music awards shows. The Spice Girls have received three American Music Awards from three nominations.[1][2]
ASCAP Music Awards (US)
ASCAP Pop Music Awards
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) honors its top members in the pop music category at an annual awards gala in Los Angeles, California. The Spice Girls have received two awards.[3]
ASCAP London Music Awards
ASCAP honors Performing Right Society (PRS) members that license their works through ASCAP at an annual awards gala in London, England. The Spice Girls received six awards in 1998[4] and two awards in 1999.[5]
Bambi Awards (Germany)
The Bambi Awards are presented annually by Hubert Burda Media to recognize excellence in international media and television, awarded to personalities in the media, arts, culture, sports and other fields "with vision and creativity who affected and inspired the German public that year," both domestic and foreign. The Spice Girls have won one BAMBI award.[6]
Billboard Music Awards
In 1997, the Spice Girls won four Billboard Music Awards including New Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.[7][8][9]
Billboard Touring Awards
The fifth annual Billboard Touring Awards took place November 20, 2008 in New York City. The Spice Girls won Top Boxscore for Return of the Spice Girls, The O2 Arena, London December 15 – January 22 (17 shows).[10]
Billboard End Of Year Music Charts
The Spice Girls topped six Billboard year-end charts in just two years. In 1997, the Spice Girls won five year-end chart awards including Billboard's Top Pop Artist and Top Album.[11][12]
Billboard Music Video Awards
The Spice Girls received three nominations and won the Fan.tastic Video award—given by online Billboard readers—at the 1997 Billboard Music Video Awards.[13][14]
Blockbuster Entertainment Awards (US)
The Spice Girls were nominated for their roles in Spice World.[15]
Brit Awards
The Brit Awards are the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards. The Spice Girls have been nominated nine times and have picked up five awards, including three special recognition awards; in 1998 a special recognition award for global album sales, in 2000 a lifetime achievement award recognising outstanding contribution to the British music industry, previous winners include Elton John, Annie Lennox, U2, The Beatles and Queen, and in 2010 a special recognition award recognising the best performances over the past 30 years of the Brit Awards.[16][17][18][19]

Disney Awards
Echo Music Prize (Germany)
The Echo Music Prize is an accolade by the Deutsche Phono-Akademie an association of recording companies of Germany to recognise outstanding achievement in the music industry. Each year's winner is determined by the previous year's sales. The Spice Girls have received one Echo award.[21]
Edison Music Awards (The Netherlands)
The Edison music award is an annual Dutch music prize, awarded for outstanding achievements in the music industry. It is one of the oldest music awards in the world, having been presented since 1960. The Spice Girls have received one Edison award.[22]
Glamour Women of the Year Awards
The Glamour Awards is hosted by Glamour magazine every year to hand out different awards to honour extraordinary and inspirational women from a variety of fields, including entertainment, business, sports, music, science, medicine, education, and politics. The Spice Girls won the best band category in 2008.[23]

Japan Gold Disc Awards
The Japan Gold Disc Awards for music sales is hosted annually by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The Spice Girls were the Top New Foreign Act in 1997.[26]
Japan Record Awards
The Japan Record Awards is a major music awards show that recognizes outstanding achievements in the Japan Composer's Association in a manner similar to the American Grammy Awards, held annually in Japan.
Juno Awards (Canada)
The Juno Awards are presented annually by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. The Spice Girls have won one International Album of the Year award out of two nominations.[27]
Mercury Prize
The Mercury Prize is an annual music prize awarded for the best album from the United Kingdom and Ireland. It was established by the British Phonographic Industry and British Association of Record Dealers in 1992 as an alternative to the Brit Awards. The Spice Girls' debut album Spice was a finalist for the award in 1997.[28]
MTV Awards
MTV Europe Music Awards
The MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) were established in 1994 by MTV Networks Europe to celebrate the most popular music videos in Europe. The Spice Girls have received three awards from seven nominations over a three-year period.
MTV Video Music Awards
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) were established in 1984 by MTV to celebrate the top music videos of the year. In 1997, the Spice Girls received two nominations and won in the category of Best Dance Video for Wannabe.
Multishow Brazilian Music Award
The Spice Girls have received one award from one nomination at the Prêmio Multishow de Música Brasileira.[29]
National Association of Retail Merchandisers (NARM) (US)
The Spice Girls won two Best Seller Awards at the NARM awards in 1998.[30]
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards is an annual awards show that airs on the Nickelodeon cable channel that honors the year's biggest television, movie, and music acts, as voted by Nickelodeon viewers. The Spice Girls have received three nominations including one for their acting roles in Spice World.
Online Music Awards
The Spice Girls won the Album of the Year award at the 1997 Online Music Awards, hosted by Spin and AOL.[31]
Pop Corn Music Awards (Greece)
The Greek Pop Corn Music Awards are a defunct awards ceremony that were the first official Greek music awards show from 1992-2001 and were organised by the Greek magazine Pop Corn. The Arion Music Awards became the new national music awards ceremony in 2001 after the Pop Corns were discontinued. The Spice Girls have won two Pop Corn awards from two nominations.[32]

Smash Hits! Awards
The Smash Hits Poll Winners Party was an awards ceremony which ran from 1988 to 2005. Each award winner was voted by readers of the Smash Hits magazine. It ended with the closure of the magazine in February 2006. The Spice Girls have won four awards and were a finalist for another three.[36][37][38]
