• 1930s Preserving Agriculture Museum - features John Deere agriculture machinery that would have been found on a farm in the Midwest during the 1930s; open by appointment^[1][2]
• All Wars Museum - located in the Illinois Veterans Home, has had its home in Quincy since the Civil War; features a small zoo/park, space rocket at the back gates, and military equipment on display throughout the facility^[3]
• Dollhouses Then & Now - features over 70 vintage furnished dollhouses from the 1920s onward^[4][5][6]
• Dr. Richard Eells House - 1835 house that was a site on the Underground Railroad; open for group tours and for special events^[7][8]
• John Wood Mansion - home of John Wood, founder of Quincy, 12th governor of Illinois, operated by the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County, includes exhibits of local history
• Lincoln-Douglas Debate Interpretive Center - focus is the history of the Lincoln–Douglas debates and Quincy’s stories of Lincoln and Douglas’s friendships and influences in the Quincy area^[9]
• Mississippi Valley Auto Museum - features cars from the start, such as the Model A; under closure threat^[10]
• Quincy Museum - one of Quincy's most notable mansions, includes exhibits on animals, dinosaurs, space and Native Americans

• John Wood Community College - features the Heath Center Art Gallery, located in the lower level of the Paul Heath Community Education and Fine Arts Center^[12]
• Muddy River Opera Company - founded in 1989, dedicated to presenting professional operatic performances and educational opportunities for the tri-state area
• Oakley-Lindsay Center - a half mile from Quincy's downtown and 3 blocks from the Mississippi; the area's convention complex ready for anything reserved; the Quincy Community Theater also resides in this building with many performances that almost match those of Broadway
• Quincy Art Center - exhibitions feature local, regional and nationally recognized artists in addition to juried competitions and their permanent collection^[13]
• Quincy University - the Brenner Library includes the Gray Gallery with exhibitions by nationally-noted and regional artists, as well as works by students and faculty^[14]

Outdoors

• Clatt Adams Bicentennial Park - rests in between the Quincy Memorial Bridge and the Quincy Bayview Bridge and offers a scenic view of the Mississippi, especially at sunset^[15]

• Jesus Tree - an old tree located in Calvary Cemetery that supposedly has the image of Jesus holding a lamb embedded in its bark

Past events

Quincy is a former home of the World Freefall Convention.^[18] The convention ("boogie") was the skydiving world's most heavily attended event. Quincy set the world record with 5,732 skydivers from 55 countries in August, 2000. The event is now held annually in Rantoul, Illinois. The convention was not invited to return to Quincy as a result of numerous brushes with local law enforcement by attendees, including petty theft, vandalism, and rampant drug use.

The Gardner Museum of Architecture & Design provided a view of historic architecture from Quincy's historic past and stained glass architecture from all over the world; it closed in 2012.^[19]
