List of ''Uchu Sentai Kyuranger'' characters
Uchu Sentai Kyuranger (宇宙戦隊キュウレンジャー Uchū Sentai Kyūrenjā) is a Japanese tokusatsu drama and the 41st in the Super Sentai series. Taking place in the distant future, the series follows twelve individuals chosen by the constellations to fight Jark Matter, an evil organization who has taken over the galaxy.
Kyurangers
The Kyurangers are a team of warriors composed of humanoids, androids, and some with animal-like features from different star systems whose powers derive from magical stones known as the Kyutamas. They are part of the Rebellion (リベリオン Riberion), an insurrection army fighting to liberate the universe from the evil Jark Matter syndicate. They travel around space in their spaceship known as the Orion (オリオン号 Orion-gō, an acronym for "Offensive Resistance Interstellar Orbiter of RebellioN"), whose design pays homage to the homonymous character from Greek mythology and named after an old ally of Tsurugi's. Each Kyuranger carries a Seiza Blaster (セイザブラスター Seiza Burasutā), a gauntlet-like sidearm they use to both transform and access the powers of their Kyutama, such as when they perform the All-Star Crash (オールスタークラッシュ Ōru Sutā Kurasshu) finishing move, and a Kyu The Weapon (キューザウェポン Kyū Za Wepon), which is composed of three separate parts (handle, upper blade, and lower blade) that are each assembled into one of nine different modes according to the user's fighting style as their main weapon. They also each have a Kyu Buckle (キューバックル Kyū Bakkuru) on their belts for them to access their Skill Kyutamas. Once the Kyurangers have been declared enemies of Jark Matter, the Shogunate establishes a bounty of 10.000.000 pongi (ポンギ) for each member. Due to the excess amount of team members and to preserve the energy of the Kyutamas, only five Kyurangers are permitted to be initially deployed for each mission after being randomly chosen through a bingo tumbler-like device called the Kyulette (キューレット Kyūretto) while the others remain on standby to assist them if needed. Once all nine Kyurangers have been assembled, the team decides to start their counterattack on Jark Matter by liberating Earth due to the planet being tightly guarded by them for a yet unexplained reason, later gaining three other members, one being their commander and the two others from Earth.
Lucky
Lucky (ラッキー Rakkī) is a naïve young man with both amazing luck and a strong will from Planet Luth (惑星ルース Wakusei Rūsu) in the Leo System (シシ座系 Shishi-za-kei). Because of his interpersonal skills and faith in others, this helps the team to acquire other Kyurangers as their mission progresses. Apparently a man who is blissfully unaware of the Jark Matter's invasion on the entire universe, he later reveals himself as a sole survivor of an unnamed planet whose destruction forced him to escape to Planet Luth. Despite his amazing luck, Lucky is subjected to the constellation fortune and his prowess is badly affected when receiving a bad luck. He transforms into Shishi Red (シシレッド Shishi Reddo).

Following his brother's betrayal to their planet, Stinger spent the rest of his life searching him until he was scouted by Shou as the first Kyuranger, Sasori Orange (サソリオレンジ Sasori Orenji). Ever since that day, he spied on Jark Matter for the Rebellion until he exposed his cover on Earth to save Kotaro and Jiro. At one point, he was a witness to Dr. Anton's death and was accused as a murderer by Champ before he cleared up the misunderstanding. During his final battle with Scorpio, Stinger injected himself with own venom to use their people's Antares (アンタレス Antaresu) technique to boost his strength while depleting his life. Fortunately, Scorpio extracted the poison from Stinger's body after being defeated by him.
As the "Poison Star" (ポイズンスター Poizun Sutā) Sasori Orange, Stinger's personal Kyu The Weapon mode is the Kyu Spear (キュースピア Kyū Supia). His suit differs from the others in that he retains his tail, which he can use as a weapon.

As the "Beast Star" (ビーストスター Bīsuto Sutā) Ookami Blue, Garu's personal Kyu The Weapon mode is the Kyu Claw (キュークロー Kyū Kurō). His suit differs from the others in that it has claws on the boots and gloves while the fabric resembles wolf fur rather than spandex, complete with a furry collar. As Stinger confirms, the true murderer is indeed his older brother Scorpio. Once it is confirmed that Scorpio is on Earth, Champ leaves the group temporarily with Stinger to track him down. During the fight with Scorpio, Champ takes a powerful blow from him to protect Stinger and is broken into pieces. Once he and Balance met the first five Kyurangers initially as their bounties, Naga quickly befriends Lucky instead of tricking them to be handed over to Jark Matter in the hopes of learning more about emotions as well as the path between good and evil. Often serving as a parent figure to his teammates, he is reliable albeit not always sincere. He likes to make food or cooking-related metaphors which appears to be based on Italian cuisine, including some of his accent speech deriving from Italian language. His dream to become a chef stems from his poor background of his planet being invaded by Jark Matter, resulting in a great shortage of food supply and having to take care of his starving siblings by cooking meals for them. Shou Ronpo (ショウ・ロンポー Shō Ronpō) is a dragon-like alien from the Draco System (リュウ座系 Ryū-za-kei) and commander of the Rebellion. He tries to come off as imposing, but just ends up behaving more like a mischievous old man. In reality, he is a guilt-ridden old man due to the loss of his predecessor and friend, Big Bear, constantly discouraging insubordination on the Kyurangers in fear of repeating his mistake. Despite that, he always manages to keep his composure at the most dire situations. Before forming the Kyurangers, Shou journeyed across various constellations to acquire the Skill Kyutamas. Originally, Shou's Change Kyutama, which allowed him to transform into Ryu Violet (リュウバイオレット Ryū Baioretto), was incomplete due to the limit of its transformation state as a mere Skill Kyutama. Encouraged by the other Kyurangers to move on in honor of Big Bear, his Kyutama is upgraded by the combined energy of their Change Kyutamas to help complete its transformation state, allowing him to transform into Ryu Commander (リュウコマンダー Ryū Komandā). His meeting with Big Bear's spirit further gives him the confidence to find the Argo and stop Jark Matter. Unlike the main Kyurangers, Shou uses the Ryu Tsueider (リュウツエーダー Ryū Tsuēdā), a staff that he carries around like a cane, to transform into Ryu Violet/Commander.
As the "Dragon Ma-Star" (ドラゴンマスター Doragon Masutā) Ryu Violet/Commander, Shou wields the Ryu Tsueider as his main weapon with two modes: Rod Mode (ロッドモード Roddo Mōdo) for close range combat and Rifle Mode (ライフルモード Raifuru Mōdo) for long range combat. They are then captured by Eridron to be used as bait to attract the Kyurangers, but Stinger, pretending to be his ally, rescues the two when he reveals himself to be a spy sent by Shou as well as remind Stinger of his bond with his older brother Scorpio prior to the latter's betrayal and siding with Jark Matter. Inspired by Stinger, Kotaro decides to join the Rebellion with the former reminding him not to follow his brother's mistake. He later gains his own Change Kyutama from the spirit of Shou's predecessor, Big Bear, which allows him to transform into Koguma Skyblue (コグマスカイブルー Koguma Sukaiburū). Some time after joining, Kotaro leaves the team temporarily for training at the Rebellion HQ to become a full-fledged Kyuranger. He later returns to the team for the final battle against Scorpio.
As the "Big Star" (ビッグスター Biggu Sutā) Koguma Skyblue, Kotaro uses hand-to-hand combat instead of a Kyu The Weapon like the main Kyurangers, though he later gains a Kyu Spear. His suit differs from the others in that, aside from being child-sized to reflect his age, it is decorated with two accessories: a scarf-like cloth around his neck, which he can remove to use as a meteor hammer, and a pair of mittens over his gloves, which he can uncover to reveal bear-like claws for scratching enemies. His helmet also has protrusions that resemble bear ears.

When Jark Matter is founded to destroy what he established, Tsurugi founded the Kyurangers he led alongside Orion. Ultimately, losing allies like his team strategist Cuervo (クエルボ Kuerubo) from the Corvus System (カラス座系 Karasu-za-kei), Tsurugi sacrificed his immortality in an attempt to destroy Don Armage. But the attack failed and Orion placed Tsurugi in suspended animation within the Argo while splitting its Kyutama into the Ho, Ryukotsu and Tomo Kyutamas. In present day, Tsurugi is revived by the Kyurangers after they reformed the Argo Kyutama. Tsurugi soon then realizes that the records of his past achievement and the original Kyurangers have been erased from history by Jark Matter, Armage having targeted Earth for being Tsurugi's home world. Unlike the main Kyurangers, Tsurugi uses the Houou Blade (ホウオウブレード Hōō Burēdo) and Houou Shield (ホウオウシールド Hōō Shīrudo) to transform into the red and navy-colored Houou Soldier (ホウオウソルジャー Hōō Sorujā).
As the "Space Bu-Star" (スペースバスター Supēsu Basutā) Houou Soldier, Tsurugi wields the Houou Blade and Houou Shield as both of his main weapons.
