This is a list of the 275 constituencies represented in the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, as at the December 2012 parliamentary election.[1] Each constituency is represented by a single Member of Parliament (MP). The number of seats was increased from 200 to 230 after the December 2000 elections.[2] The total list of constituencies was increased to 275 prior to the Ghanaian general election in 2012.[3]

Ashanti Region - 47 seats

Districts of Ashanti.

The number of constituencies in this region increased from 33 to 39 in 2004 and 47 in 2012 prior to the Ghana General Election, 2012. Some new districts were created in 2008 affecting the location of some constituencies.

The Adaklu District was created in 2012 from the former Adaklu-Anyigbe District.[4]

Afadzato South District

The Afadzato South District was created in 2012 from the Hohoe Municipal District.[5]

Agotime Ziope District

The Agotime Ziope District was created in 2012 from the former Adaklu-Anyigbe District.

Akatsi North District

The Akatsi North District was created in 2012 from the former Akatsi District.[6]

Akatsi South District

The Akatsi South District is the result of Akatsi North District being carved out of the former Akatsi District in 2012.[7]
