Fenerbahçe is a sports club based in Istanbul, Turkey, that plays in Süper Lig. The club was founded in 1907 in the Kadıkoy section of Istanbul by Ziya Songülen and Necip Okaner. At the time, Turkish youth were not allowed to play futbol under Ottoman rule, so the club was originally very secretive. Fenerbahçe was one of the founding members of the Turkish Süper Lig in 1959, and is one of three clubs, including Beşiktaş and Galatasaray, to have never been relegated from the league. This is a list of seasons played by Fenerbahçe in Turkish football, from 1907 to the most recent completed season. It details the club's achievements in major competitions. The club has won the nationwide championships; Süper Lig, 1. Lig, National League and Turkish Football Championship a record 27 times, the local Istanbul Football League 16 times, the TSYD Cup 12 times, the Turkish Cup 6 times, the Turkish Super Cup 8 times, the Chancellor Cup 8 times, the Istanbul Shield 5 times, the Turkish Cup 4 times, the Fleet Cup 4 times, the Turkish Football Championships three times, the Atatürk Cup twice and the Spor Toto Cup and Balkans Cup once. Fenerbahçe is the most successful club in Turkish football with 91 titles won since 1924.
