The grey-tailed piha (Snowornis subalaris) is a species of bird in the family Cotingidae.
It is found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
Population degradation
Because of current and future deforestation in the Amazon Basin, the population is expected to decline by 25-30% over the next three generations, causing this species to be listed as near threatened.[2]
