Liaqat Abbas Bhatti

Chaudhry Liaqat Abbas Bhatti (Urdu: لیاقت عباس بھٹی; born 15 July 1962) is a Pakistani politician, 2 times former Member National Assembly of Pakistan and EX-Federal Minister for PWD. His wife Sadia Liaqat Abbas and him are still very active in NA-103 after he faced the Election Comission's decision against him and in the favor of Shahid Hussain Bhatti in 2013.

Early life and education

He was born on 15 July 1962 in the Hafizabad District. He did M.A from University of the Punjab in 1983. He is an agriculturist by profession.

Political career

He was elected for the first time in 2002 from the constituency no. NA-103 Hafizabad-II in Sukheke Mandi & Pindi Bhattian.[1] His political party at that time was Pakistan Muslim League (Q).

Second time in 2008 he elected again on that constituency and succeeded again and became the Federal Minister of PWD. In 2013 elections he lost to Shahid Hussain Bhatti but many still doubt the results as he won in the first 3 recountings and lost in the fourth.

Right now, he supports PTI, him and his family are really close to Imran Khan and will most probably be holding a PTI ticket in the upcoming elections.
