Lev-Tolstovsky District (Russian: Лев-Толсто́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the eighteen in Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 970 square kilometers (370 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Lev Tolstoy.[1] Population: 17,141(2010 Census);[3] 17,862 (2002 Census);[6] 17,748(1989 Census).[7] The population of Lev Tolstoy accounts for 50.5% of the district's total population.[3]
