Letters from the Fire is an American hard rock[1] band from San Francisco, California[2] founded in 2012.[3]

History

Beginnings (2007–2016)

In 2007, guitarist Mike Keller founded a band called Park Lane. He, Grayson Hurd and a revolving cast of musicians[1] (which included Candiria lead vocalist Carley Coma)[4] toured the region prior to publishing Park Lane, their eponymous debut album, in 2009. In July 2012, shortly after bassist Clayton Wages[1] joined, the band changed its name.[5] The moniker "Letters from the Fire" was adapted from the working title of one of their songs, under which they released both Rebirth in 2011 as well as their self-titled EP in 2014. Prior to releasing the latter, the group broadcast a cover version of "Eleanor Rigby",[1] which ranked No. 41 on Active Rock Radio[6] as well as a music video for "Zombies in the Sun".[7]

Worth the Pain (2016–present)

In May 2016, the band released "Give in to Me", the first single from Worth The Pain, the debut studio album from the group.[8] Produced by Kile Odell,[3] Worth The Pain released worldwide on September 9, 2016.[9] In December 2016, the ensemble released a lyric video for "Control"[2] and a music video for the title track, "Worth The Pain."[10][11]

The band toured with Lacey Sturm[12] in February 2017,[12] and performed throughout the United States alongside Adelitas Way in March 2017.[13][14][15][16][17] In May, July and August 2017, the ensemble plans to travel throughout North America to open for Seether[18] with dates accompanying Black Stone Cherry from late May until the middle of June 2017.[19] On 31 May 2017, the ensemble published a music video for the song "At War".[20]
