The †agate rocksnail, scientific name Leptoxis clipeata, was a freshwater snail in the family Pleuroceridae. Like all Leptoxis, the species required free-flowing unpolluted water. It was endemic to parts of the Coosa River in Alabama, now impounded. [1]
