Left Movement (Catalan: Moviment d'Esquerres, MES) is a social democratic and independentist political party in Catalonia. Its founders include Marina Geli. The party was founded in November 2014 by former members of the Socialists' Party of Catalonia (PSC) who were dissatisfied with what they saw as the party's lack of support for the independence movement.[1] The new party has joined the Junts pel Sí (Together for Yes) pro-independence alliance for the parliamentary elections of September 2015.[2]
