Leesa Sleep (also called Leesa Mattress) is an American e-commerce mattress brand.[1][2][3][4]

History

Leesa Sleep was founded in 2014 with its headquarters located in Virginia Beach, VA.[4] In 2015, the company raised $9 million from private equity firm TitleCard Capital to expand its frontiers beyond the US including Canada.[5] The same year, Leesa started production in the United Kingdom as part of its European expansion plans.[6][7]

In 2016, Leesa opened its first retail store, the Leesa Dream Gallery in SoHo, Manhattan in partnership with ArtLifting.[8] The same year, Leesa Sleep was named the official mattress of the Washington Redskins.[9] It also established partnership with decorated athletes Michael Phelps and Aly Raisman.[10][11]

Leesa Sleep offers premium mattresses and blankets to customers online.[12][13][14][15][16]

Social impact

Leesa donates to organizations providing shelter for people seeking refuge from homelessness, domestic risk and human trafficking.[17] Leesa also plants a tree for every mattress sold in a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation.[18] To date, Leesa has donated over 15,000 mattresses.[19]
