"Leave a Tender Moment Alone" is a song performed by Billy Joel and the fifth single from his album An Innocent Man. The special guest musician, Toots Thielemans, plays harmonica.

Paying homage to soul music from the mid-1950s and the early-1960s, this song was reminiscent of the softer side of R&B from groups like Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. The song reached only number 27 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts and spent two weeks at number one on the Adult Contemporary chart.[1] "Leave a Tender Moment Alone" was the only single from the album released there not to reach the top 20 of the chart.
