Lawther Knoll

Lawther Knoll (54°29′S 37°3′W / 54.483°S 37.050°W / -54.483; -37.050Coordinates: 54°29′S 37°3′W / 54.483°S 37.050°W / -54.483; -37.050) is a rounded, scree-covered hill rising to 315 metres (1,030 ft) in eastern Annenkov Island, South Georgia. It was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee for British Antarctic Survey geologist Eric G. Lawther who worked on the island in the summer of 1972–73.[1]
