Lauren Scruggs
Lauren Scruggs Kennedy (born July 18, 1988) is an American fashion journalist and blogger. She received international media attention after a December 3, 2011 incident in which Scruggs walked into an airplane's spinning propeller, losing her left eye and severing her left hand after exiting the plane in the dark, following a flight to view Christmas lights in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.[1]
On August 9, 2012, Scruggs made her first public appearance following the accident when she was interviewed on NBC's Today show.[2][3]
On May 30, 2014, it was announced that Scruggs became engaged to television personality Jason Kennedy.[4] Scruggs is a Christian.[5] The couple were married on December 12, 2014.[6][7]
