Lauren Mackay

Lauren Mackay is a Tudor historian specialising in the Tudor period, and 16th century diplomacy, with a focus on particular ambassadors such as Imperial ambassador Eustace Chapuys and Thomas Boleyn. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Sydney University, Australia, and her Master of History from the University of New England, Australia.[1][2] She is also completing her PhD with Newcastle University, Australia.

Biography

Mackay completed her bachelor's degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music/University of Sydney, Australia. She completed her Master of History in 2010, and is currently completing her PhD on Thomas Boleyn. Mackay's debut book, Inside the Tudor Court: Henry VIII and his Wives through the Eyes of the Spanish Ambassador" (Amberley, 2014) Is the first biography of Imperial Ambassador, Eustace Chapuys.[3][4][5] She is currently writing a biography of Thomas Boleyn which will be published by IB Tauris.[6]

Mackay is a regular contributor to BBC History Magazine and All About History Magazine.[7]
