Latvia selected their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 using the Eirodziesma 2007 format, on 24 February 2007. Prior to the final, there were 10 participants competing in the two semi-finals held on 27 January 2007 and 3 February 2007. The top 5 songs qualified to the final by a 50/50 jury vote and televote. In the final, the top three song proceeded towards the super-final. The opera group, Bonaparti.lv won the competition with a convincing amount of televotes. "Questa Notte" is a song in the Italian language, which finished sixteenth in the final competition, with 54 points.

The final of Eirodziesma took place on 24 February in Ventspils, with semi finals on 27 January and 3 February. LTV received 106 entries, which were narrowed down to 20 songs on 11 December 2006.
