Lathrecista asiatica, the asiatic blood tail,[3] is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae.[4] It is the only species in its genus.[5] It breeds in ponds, marshes, swamp forest and shallow forest pools. It is widespread, occurring from India to Australia.[1][6][7][8]
