Lake Tondano
Lake Tondano is the largest lake in North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
The lake is approximately 36 km from the city of Manado and is 600 meters above sea level.[1]
In recent years there have been reports of decreasing water levels at Lake Tondano; from 1934 when it was 40 meters, to 1993 to 23 meters, 18 meters in 1996 and 12 meters in 2010.[2]
The halfbeak fish Tondanichthys kottelati is endemic to the lake.[3]
